  • Application / Sales Engineer

    Position Description

    This customer-facing position will be responsible for modeling, configuring, and assisting in the installation of product solutions that satisfy specific customer application requirements. The application engineer will work closely with the motor engineering team to determine the features and capabilities required to satisfy specific customer applications. The application engineer will provide pre- and post- sale technical support to direct and indirect sales personnel including:

    • Conducting customer needs assessments including on-site visits as necessary.
    • Serve as motor subject matter expert to customers and LC Drives Sales and Marketing personnel.

    Position Description

    CNC machinists are responsible for the programming, setup, and manufacturing of components for electric motors and generators and the equipment required to manufacture them. The manufacturing of these components requires working with a large range of materials, including exotic and difficult to machine metals. Machine tools used include wire EDM, vertical machining centers, CNC turning centers, and multi-axis mill/turn machines. Machinist will be working with other CNC machinists and engineers of different disciplines to problem solve and develop new manufacturing processes. The electric motors and generators being manufactured have uses in several green energy technologies.

    Position Description

    The technician’s responsibilities will include (with opportunity for growth):

    • Responsible for working in a team environment and capable of working on their own.

    Position Description

    LC Drives is looking for a dynamic, results-driven individual to join the quality team as a test engineer working on product development, verification, and validation. The Test Engineering Leader’s responsibilities will include:

    • Conduct the testing required for verification of the product design under development.
    • Ensure products are properly tested and validated, maximizing the value of effort applied.
    • Test process development for functionality and ease of implementation.
    • Work with cross-functional teams to address customer-specific test requirements.
    • Ensure accurate and representative test results to document performance and durability.
    • Maintain the test facility equipment and calibration of dynamometer and data acquisition.
    • Improve/develop the capability of the infrastructure, controls, and data acquisition for a final test.

    Required Experience/Skills

    • BS in Engineering or related science discipline required.
    • Fundamental skills working with electric equipment, data acquisition, and controls.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
    • Ability to routinely work in a hands-on manner.

    LC Drives is looking for a dynamic, results-driven individual to join the quality team as a test engineer working on product development, verification, and validation. The Test Engineer’s responsibilities will include:

    • Coordinate resources for the utilization of the testing facility to accomplish the production validation, product development, and reliability growth testing.
    • Define and direct the testing required for verification of the design/product under development.
    • Ensure products are properly tested and validated, maximizing the value of effort applied.
    • Define equipment hardware and software for the next generation of testing.
    • Test development, test execution, and data analysis of the motors tested.
    • Develop tests to verify design conformance to motor standards.
    • Work with cross-functional teams to address customer-specific test requirements.
    • Perform data analysis of tests to ensure accurate reporting of the machine performance.

    Required Experience/Skills

    • Advanced degree in Engineering or related science discipline required.
    • Deep system engineering understanding of interfaces for electric motor components.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

    • Set-up and execution of component, subsystem, and complete motor tests
    • Support the design and build of test fixtures as part of the test team.
    • Maintain test equipment inventory and readiness for testing
    • Support construction activities for test infrastructure
    • Log test activities, record data, and complete reports on testing.
    • Collaborate with test team on continuous improvement initiatives.
